Data Sharing Policy

No selling. No ads in the app. No brokers.

Your trips, reservations, notes, location, and account details are used only to power the app you’re using. We show no ads inside Where2 and we do not track you inside the app for advertising. We don’t sell your data, don’t share it with data brokers, and don’t monetize your information in any way. Our revenue comes from optional Pro subscriptions, not from your data.

Measuring our own ads (marketing pages only)

We advertise Where2 on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, so our public marketing pages include that platform’s standard measurement pixel. It tells us whether a visit or sign-up followed one of our own ads, which is how we know if the advertising is worth continuing.

It runs only on those public pages, never inside the app, so your trips and reservations are never involved. And it measures only our own advertising. We never use it to advertise someone else’s product to you, and we never sell or hand your information to third parties for their own marketing. You can block it with browser tracking protection, private browsing, or an ad blocker, and Where2 will work exactly the same.

The only sharing that happens

The only parties that ever touch your data are the service providers we need to actually run the app — for example, our hosting and database, the AI provider that generates an insight when you ask for one, maps, the email service that sends your sign-in code, and Google Play for payments. Each receives only the minimum needed to perform that one function, only to deliver the service to you, and never for their own marketing or resale.

Sharing within your trips

When you invite people to a trip, the people you invite can see that trip’s shared content — because that’s the point of planning together. You control who you invite, and trip owners can remove members and revoke share links at any time. Nothing is shared more broadly than the trip members you choose.

How we keep your data safe

Protecting your information is something we take seriously. We apply strong, industry-standard safeguards across the service: connections are encrypted in transit, access to data is tightly restricted and limited to what’s strictly necessary to operate the app, and we deliberately minimize how much we collect in the first place. We continuously review our practices to keep your information protected. (We keep the specifics of our security measures private, by design, so that publishing them can’t help anyone work around them.)
